Helping the People of Japan

Helping the People of Japan

I have just added Limited Edition Notecards to my website -- the "Little Flower Girl" notecard is there to help raise funds to aid the people of Japan. This painting was shown in five shows here in the US and won second place in one of the shows. I was in Nagano, Japan, many years ago where I did a One-Woman Show, and the people there are so incredible -- at that time they had never seen an American -- let alone a tall blonde woman -- and they treated me like royalty. I was invited into their homes to sell my paintings, and I sold 26 of the 30 paintings that I had there. They love flowers and family and most children and they would ask me how old the children were in my paintings, and they bought the ones that were close to their own children's ages. They taught me why I paint -- to bring joy and happiness to people -- and it has stayed with me every since.

My heart hurts so much when I see the devastation that they are now facing and I so want to contribute to help them. My heart just aches - I have been talking to my Japanese agent to return to Japan -- now I am not sure when that will ever happen.

Would you be willing to help me market these cards by sending out a note to all of your email people -- I know that you and your Mama have so many subscribers -- and I would welcome any help -- and it is a way for people to give and get something beautiful in return.

Please share this with your friends -- I would truly appreciate your help. To see the cards, go to this link :http://dianeleonard.com/content.asp?page_id=16
